I searched all over town yesterday for my dog
People sneered and told me to go to my blog
Pet-er laughed, his mouth foaming like a frog
My neighbor Douglas backed away with a shrug
The neighborhood kids asked for a fee like thugs
I have not told them that it was an imaginary dog
